Written Contracts Required Over $5,000

NSW law requires a written contract for all residential building work over $5,000. Every Auschek job over this threshold includes a written scope, inclusions, exclusions and timeline assumptions before work begins.

HBC Cover Required Over $20,000

Home Building Compensation (HBC) cover is required for eligible residential work valued at $20,000 or more — before money is taken or work starts. We arrange this for all qualifying projects. You can verify our licence via Service NSW.

Pricing Questions

Common Pricing Questions

Do you publish exact prices online?

We publish indicative public-market bands. Every final quote is based on your specific site, scope and inclusions. Use these bands as a starting point, not a promise.

What is included in your quotes?

Scope, allowances for fixtures and finishes, key trades, exclusions, timeline assumptions and any provisional sums. We aim to make every cost driver visible before you sign.

Do I need a written contract?

Yes — for residential building work over $5,000, NSW law requires a written contract. We provide one for every job in scope.

When is Home Building Compensation (HBC) required?

For eligible residential work valued at $20,000 or more, HBC cover must be in place before any money is taken or work begins. We handle this for all qualifying projects.

How do variations work?

All variations are scoped, priced and approved in writing before any extra work is carried out. You'll never be surprised by an unannounced cost increase.
